EVENT RULES & REGULATIONS – Sept.26.2019 PDF

FORMAT
Day 1 Race (Saturday)
Knockout Bracket Race for Day Purse/Prizing
Individual results will be used to determine Day 2 start position
Slowest time of team members will be used to determine Day 2 start position
Day 2 Race (Sunday)
Competition will consist of 3 races of increasing time and difficulty
Overall classification will be determined by adding points won by each rider during each of the three events.
Riders with the lowest score will win:

Final classification will be made by adding points won by each rider during each of the three finals. A tie at the end of the event will be
decided by most of the best final placings, precedence being given to the rider having the greatest number of 1st, 2nd 3rd etc. places. If a
further tie exists, riders will be classified in order, by the better placing in the 3rd final, in the 2
nd final, or in the first final.
Johnny O’ Classic Race #1 (30 min) – Competitors will start in rows of 5 riders according to Day 1 race results.
With the exception of the Pro Class, any competitor finishing 15 minutes or greater behind class leader will
not advance to Race #2.
Xtinction Race #2 (60 min) – Competitors gate pick will be according to Race #1 results.
With the exception of the Pro Class, any competitor finishing 15 minutes or greater behind class leader will
not advance to Race #3.
Outliers Finale Race #3 (90 min) – Competitors gate pick will be according to Race #2 results
CLASSES (minimum age unless otherwise specified is 16 years of age on date of event)
Pro: Competed as a ‘Pro’ in National, Provincial, or State events.
Expert: Any racer with advanced skill level. Riders licensed as a ‘Pro’ in National, Provincial, or State series are not
eligible.
Vet: Minimum 35 years of age on date of event. Riders licensed as a ‘Pro’ or ‘Expert’ in National, Provincial, or State
series are not eligible.
Amateur: Any racer that does not fit description of the above classes. Riders licensed as a ‘Pro’ or ‘Expert’ in National,
Provincial, or State series are not eligible.
Team: Maximum of 2 riders whom fit within the description of Amateur or Vet classifications.
BIKE REQUIREMENTS
Motorcycles must be technically sound and in good working order.
There are no motorcycle and / or equipment restrictions. As this is closed course event, no special equipment
(lights, registration, spark arrestors, etc.) are required. However, any rider with a motorcycle found to be in
disrepair will be requested to correct or may be disqualified at the discretion of Head Referee.
Studs and/or screws will not be allowed to be used on motorcycle tires.
Sound testing will not be implemented. However, any rider competing on an overly obnoxious motorcycle will
be requested to correct or may be disqualified at the discretion of Head Referee.
The same motorcycle must be used throughout the entire competition.
Number plate decals will be provided to each participant. These must be prominently displayed on the Front
Number plate and each Side Plate.
Official scoring will be performed utilizing transponders. Transponder rental will be available at sign-in,
therefore a credit card (or cash) deposit of $350.00 will be taken upon receipt of transponder. Competitors may
also provide their own which must be a Mylaps MX transponder.
Riders already with their own transponders must bring to sign-in and provide the transponder number.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
The following are the minimum requirements to compete; additional safety gear is recommended. Proper selection of
helmet and safety apparel is the rider’s sole responsibility:
Helmet must always be worn when operating a motorcycle during an event and in the pits. Helmets must be
certified by the manufacturer to meet or exceed the Department of Transportation (DOT) FMVSS 218.
Eye protection in the form of shatterproof goggles or safety glasses is MANDATORY.
Full length protective motocross or off-road riding pants are MANDATORY and knee guards are highly
recommended.
Long sleeved shirt, jersey, and/or jacket. Chest protector and elbow guards recommended.
Protective boots that are at least 8” high for adults.
EVENT RULES
Riders Meeting at the event paddock is Mandatory.
Any rider found to cut course will be docked position or disqualified at the discretion of Head Referee.
Riders exiting course for any reason, must not gain a position upon re-entry. Head Referee will have the
discretion to dock position or disqualify participant.
Outside assistance is strictly prohibited. Any participant accepting assistance from anyone other than track crew
or fellow competitors will be disqualified at discretion of Head Referee.
Advancement and positioning will be posted at the event paddock within 30 minutes of race completion.
Protests must be made at the event paddock within 30 minutes of result posting.
Team riders must start and cross finish line together.
1st Gear in pits and Helmets are mandatory while in motion.
