Racing against defending Champion Brock Hoyer who won the Inaugural X games Class in 2017.

Matecheck was leading in the 2017 event, however, had an issue with a bike stall which dropped him down to 4th place where he eventually made his way up to 2nd, 12 seconds behind Hoyer.

During the celebration with his father, Matecheck was tackled by Hoyer, however surprising, it was due to the mutual joy of a great race between the two Friends who ride with each other in British Columbia during the Winter Months.
