Alberta BigHorn Park
The NDP Government in Alberta will not be holding Public consultations or holding any democratic discussions or a vote to determine the every lasting fate of Alberta’s Back Country.

To this date, no Public Consultations have been held on The Big Horn Park Proposal by the NDP and Shannon Phillips.

To this date, no Public Consultations have been held on The Big Horn Park Proposal by the NDP and Shannon Phillips.

Shannon Phillips recently said wrongly, in PLUZ zones, non-designated, unofficial trails will remain open until they are added to the PLUZ (once pushed in) in the ongoing years. This is Flat our WRONG. If you are off a designated trail in a PLUZ, you will be ticketed, charged and could fast higher penalties.

Shannon Phillips is not explaining exactly what restrictions will be put into place on top of PLUZ restrictions, lack of trail system development PRIOR to placing these restrictions on Crown Land.

What is happening is a, “trust us, and we can figure it out after” approach that will severely limit any OHV or recreational activity while pushing for more government-run campgrounds that will require growing fees, limitations and lack of trust, transparency and involvement for communities in the areas.

Counties and councils are Condemning the NDPs actions and lying about RCMP investigations which resulted in cancelled public information sessions.

To this date, no Public Consultations have been held on The Big Horn Park Proposal by the NDP and Shannon Phillips.

Shannon may need to look at the 2011 Public Land use Act made by the Government which states.

2011 Public Land use Act
Section 185 AR 187/2011

(3) The operation of a motor vehicle within a public land use zone
is permitted only in areas or on trails that have been designated for
that purpose by signs or notices posted by an officer in the zone
pursuant to this Regulation.

This completely contradicts statements she is making the public about when a PLUZ zone is implemented.
If you are off the trail (non exist currently) you will be fined.

But trust Phillips, She made right with Castle and promising OHV trails and use will continue.

Howver, It didn’t, all OHV use is banned in the new Castle Park.

Stay tuned as we post more on the BigHorn park disaster. Mainstream media tends to bend stories and interviews to their will, giving extreme environmentalists and ENGO’s (Environmental non-government groups) media time who actually lie about the state of the backcountry.

Its actually in beautiful condition, and as always, anyone who says otherwise, we invite them out for a ride, or hike with a GPS & Camera so we can document the “disaster” they are claiming.
