THE FIX?
The Main theme of the TPI is sensing 1 – Air Temperature 2- Crank Case Pressure (RPM of the Motor, Forces on intake)
If any of the 2 come out of balance, the computer being fed data simply does not know what to do and will fault to a default setting to simply richen the mix to prevent damage to the motor, In turn, Splooge and Fouled Plugs Follow.
Another Reason for Fouling plugs on the TPI can be related to improper warm ups, and low engine temperature. When the Temperature of the Motor is low (and air temperature) the mix going into the bike will be Richened (more Fuel/Gas, Less Oil) which can be further escalated when revving the bike on warm up or clean it out.
TPS MUST BE HOT before you ride it – Says the internets and KTM.
Best of luck!
