With record temperatures, the 7th round of the AMSA offroad Race in Fallen Timber, Alberta was met with over 200 racers from across Western Canada for the 3rd round of the CXCC-W (originally was going to be on the Shale Shaker Date).
The Day was hot at 30C most of the race however overcast and wind helped the racers complete the 45km & 17KM loops. One of the more notable racers was Chris Birch who was in town for riding & training schools decided to race the Vet Master Event!
Birch was top of the tiers almost winning the event with Luke Sydor Taking the overall Win in Pro. One of Birchs’ comments were very flattering for Canada and Alberta races saying it is very rare to be able to race this much single track, back in New Zealand course makers simply have small bulldozers and run through the forest!
So many thanks to the course makers taking the time and effort to create world-class events for us!
